Midwifery Practice Breedstraat offers this care for you, your partner and your child. Only certified and experienced midwifes work with us. We are there for you 24/7 from the pregnancy wish to 6 weeks after birth. You can visit our practice or our own ultrasound center in Utrecht for all your ultrasounds. You can speak to the midwife daily during the telephone consultation hour and of course you will visit one of our two locations in Utrecht regularly for check-ups.
In the Netherlands, a midwife is a different professional than a nurse. Being a midwife is being an independent healthcare professional who has full responsibility for the mothers (to be) under her care.

Permanent team
We have been working for years in a close and permanent team of 7 certified midwives in the Utrecht region. We meet up regularly with the whole team so that everyone is aware of what is going on. This contributes to the best care we can give you. You can get to know all of us during the checkups, or you can choose to schedule all your checkups with one midwife.
Birth
You can choose where you want to give birth in Utrecht, and we will accompany you everywhere as certified midwives. You can give birth at home but also in one of the hospitals in Utrecht. It is important to give birth in a place that feels best for you. You can always discuss this with the midwife during consultation hours.
Childbirth course
Not only can you come to us for the best care during your pregnancy, we also offer our own birthing course. Taught by a certified midwife because we believe you can get the best information from a medical professional. First appointment
You can register directly with us to schedule a first appointment. Fill out our online registration form and the assistant will contact you as soon as possible. She will call you to make an appointment for a first ultrasound and the intake. It is possible to schedule a first appointment from 7-8 weeks. Do you prefer to contact the assistant by phone first? That’s always possible! Our assistant can be reached on 030 231 13 76 every working day from 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm.
