Congratulations! You are pregnant! You are in a time that many people experience as exciting. You may not have shared with everyone around you that you are pregnant and a lot is still unclear and uncertain. We understand this very well at Midwifery Practice Breedstraat. That is why it is possible with us to come early for a first ultrasound if you are pregnant. Our assistant can schedule an ultrasound around 7 weeks of pregnancy, possibly combined with an introduction to one of our certified midwives who can tell you more about our practice. On this first ultrasound if you are pregnant we can see if the heart is beating and everything looks good. That is immediately reassuring. WebApp
Because in addition to a first ultrasound when you are pregnant, you also want good information, we have developed a web app. On our website you will find how to put this on your phone. In the web app you will find a timeline with all the information you need. From early in the pregnancy up to and including the period when the baby is born. You can also create an account that gives access to a checklist with all the things that need to be arranged and that you need to purchase. There can sometimes be a lot to do in the beginning of a pregnancy. Don’t worry, we will guide you through this and you can contact us with all your questions.
Accessibility
We think it is important not only that you can contact us quickly for a first ultrasound if you are pregnant, but also that you can always reach the midwifes easily. We are available 24/7 on our service number for concerns, deliveries and emergencies. All the midwifes are certified and speak English fluently. Every working day between 13:30 and 14:00 we have telephone consultation hours if you want to discuss something with one of our midwives. Of course, our assistant is available all day every working day to make appointments and ask questions. We would like to hear from you if we can do something for you or think along with you.
Intake
In addition to the first ultrasound if you are pregnant and the introductory meeting, we also plan a more extensive ultrasound around 11 weeks of pregnancy. We will make another (term) ultrasound, go through your (medical) history and discuss all information that is important to you. If desired, we will discuss tests such as the NIPT test that you can have performed. We also provide a form to do a bloodtest. Of course we also discuss what you can expect from our care and we coordinate what you find important.
Team
Our team consists of enthusiastic, experienced and certified midwives, a manager and three practice assistants. We think it is important that all midwives are well aware of your file and that you never tell your story twice. We all speak fluent English. We look forward to welcoming you to our practice.
