Who are we?
We are a team of midwives based in the city centre of Utrecht. We believe in bodily autonomy and in women’s rights within maternity care. For over 40 years, we have supported pregnant women and their families with personal attention, expertise, and a strong focus on enabling them to make their own informed choices.
We are continuously working to innovate and improve our care, including through our own childbirth preparation course, Centering Pregnancy, and by organising postnatal gatherings to strengthen the community of mothers.
In addition to providing high-quality care, we believe that a healthy working environment is extremely important. For example, we offer the option of working day/night shifts instead of 24-hour shifts, if that is your preference.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a midwife to become a permanent member of our team. Someone who works with enthusiasm, independence, and dedication, while also enjoying being part of a team in which colleagues can rely on one another. You also enjoy contributing ideas about how we can make our care even better.
You recognise yourself in the following:
- You have strong communication skills
- You are proactive and take responsibility
- You work carefully and in a structured manner
- You are flexible
In addition:
- You are registered in the Dutch Quality Register for Midwives (Kwaliteitsregister Verloskundigen)
- You live in or near Utrecht, or are planning to move to the area
- You have experience with or an interest in Centering Pregnancy
- You have a good command of English
- You are certified to administer nitrous oxide or intend to obtain this certification in the near future
What do we offer?

- Salary in accordance with the AVAR salary scales of the KNOV, based on your level of work experience
